The 2026 Subaru Outback Touring XT seamlessly combines refined comfort, long-term dependability, and all-weather confidence. Finished in striking River Rock Pearl over a Slate Black interior with Nappa leather upholstery, this flagship crossover is thoughtfully crafted to support both busy workweeks and outdoor weekend excursions. Whether you are navigating your daily commute toward Orange Park or packing cargo for a family road trip, the Outback Touring XT offers the versatile layout, advanced driver-assist systems, and smooth driving dynamics you need for complete confidence on the road. Feel free to browse our detailed overview or explore our new Outback selection to see how this midsize crossover elevates your daily drive.
Performance & Capability
Under the hood, the 2026 Subaru Outback Touring XT features a responsive 2.4L H-4 direct injection, DOHC, variable valve control, intercooled turbo regular gasoline engine with 260HP. This powertrain is paired with an 8-speed Lineartronic CVT featuring paddle shifters, offering smooth, continuous acceleration alongside the tactile control of manual gear selection when desired. Subaru Symmetrical Full-Time All-Wheel Drive works in tandem with driver-selectable dual-function X-MODE to optimize wheel traction across slick asphalt, wet roads, and unpaved terrain. Supported by a 108.1-inch wheelbase, independent front strut suspension, and double wishbone rear suspension, the Outback manages bumpy surfaces while maintaining precise handling and composure. Efficiency remains practical for daily driving, delivering an EPA-estimated 21 city and 29 highway MPG on regular unleaded fuel.
Technology & Connectivity
Inside the quiet cabin, the Touring XT presents a highly connected, user-friendly technological suite. Central command is handled by the Subaru 12.1-inch Multimedia System with Navigation, supplemented by a clear 12.30-inch digital instrument cluster display. Wireless smart device integration via MySubaru, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto allows effortless mirroring of your essential navigation apps and playlists without cable clutter, supported by front wireless device charging and 4 USB ports. Audio is reproduced through a premium 12-speaker Harman/Kardon sound system powered by a 576-watt amplifier. For safety and peace of mind, the EyeSight safety suite includes Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking, Automatic Emergency Steering, and the DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System, while a Smart Rear-View Mirror provides a clear video feed of the road behind regardless of rear cargo height.
